Elyson de la Cruz

Chief Information Security Officer

Elyson De La Cruz, Ph.D., serves as Chief Information Security Officer at IBR and is a dedicated lifelong learner with a deep commitment to cybersecurity excellence. He has earned three master's degrees, one bachelor's degree, and two associate's degrees, along with numerous certifications spanning security architecture, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. His professional achievements include Special Congressional Recognition and Customer Satisfaction awards for his work supporting the U.S. military.

Prior to joining IBR, Elyson held leadership roles at Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, and Consolidated Analysis Center, Incorporated. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including (ISC)², ISACA, and the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Elyson leads with a servant leadership philosophy grounded in authenticity, empathy, and mission delivery. He believes a leader's success is reflected in the accomplishments of their team and emphasizes continuously evaluating how to best engage each team member to maximize performance, fulfillment, and work-life balance. He also values Agile metrics, such as velocity, to maintain efficient project execution and team effectiveness.

He is particularly proud of maintaining numerous organizational certifications and advancing IBR's cybersecurity, personnel security, and facility security capabilities. His vision is for IBR to be recognized as a major innovator in the cybersecurity space.

Outside of work, Elyson enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
